10th Annual Williamstown Literary Festival presents
The Scion Pirates

A 6 piece original Rock n Roll Poetry Band featuring some of Melbourne’s finest musicians including Tim Neal on Saxophone, keyboards and piano accordion, guitarist and vocalist Wayne Jury and special guest  harmonica legend, Chris Wilson.

Performing poetry and spoken word to music with the band is Christos Tsiolkas (author of the Slap and Dead Europe), well published writer Michael Crane and emerging poets Jessica Migotto, Jeana, Ben John Smith and Anthony Doig. There will be pirate dirges, much dancing and a conga line. Jack Kerouac meets Tom Waits, meets swampy blues.

This event is also the launch of Michel Crane’s new book of poems and stories.
